Why fit a universal back-box
Universal exhausts are increasing in popularity not just because they offer a huge range of wild designs, but because they can be much cheaper than exhausts made specifically for a car.

How will it fit?
There are two main areas to consider. Firstly there must be enough space to accommodate the box, so measure carefully underneath your car before choosing. Secondly, there needs to be an appropriate point on your original exhaust to cut and fit the new universal item.

In the simplest cases fitting a universal back box is just a matter of cutting off the old one and bolting on the new. In other cases fabrication work could be required, including moving of hanger locations and bore-size matching. The amount of work required will vary from car to car.

What’s included?
This back-box includes a bracket and a stepped adaptor. The bracket bolts around the body of the box and can be placed anywhere along its length. This creates a truly versatile hanging point. The stepped adaptor allows the bore of 2.25 inches to be reduced to match the most popular sizes of standard exhaust.

What will it sound like?
This back-box features a ‘straight through’ type silencer which offers far less back pressure than a standard item – great for performance. It does not silence the exhaust note in the same way as a conventional box so you can expect a slightly louder, deeper note!
