All lowered BMW's suffer from excessive rear wheel camber. This wears tyres on the inner edge and reduces grip. This alignment kit from SPC will correct the problem. The adjustable length lower track control arms can be set to achieve a camber between -1 and +3 degrees. They include new bushes and feature a threaded adjuster and lock nut. A BMW with the correct camber at the rear will grip far better and be more predictable at the limit. Lowering a BMW and maintaining the correct camber at the rear is an awesome combination; unfortunately, the latter is often 'forgotten' on street cars. As well as the improvements in handling, the cost of this kit can be purely justified by savings made on tyre wear! It's not unusual to make your money back in 5000 miles! |
