About WeitecWeitec are a German manufacturer who pride themselves on offering high quality, well engineered suspension solutions at an affordable price.
What is a TX kit?
The TX kit sits at the top of the Weitec range. It’s ideal for the fast-road enthusiast and track user.
The damper bodies are bright zinc plated and feature uprated, gas assisted internals. The damper rebound settings can be fully adjusted to suit the vehicle’s use and/or the driver’s tastes. This is achieved with a removable adjusting knob.
The springs mount on seats which can be wound up or down the damper body to achieve a lowering anywhere between 40mm and 70mm. A grub screw in each spring seat is a neat touch which locks the seat in place.
What’s included?
This kit includes four adjustable gas assisted dampers with bright zinc plated bodies matched with four 2.25” diameter uprated Weitec springs. A special adjusting spanner is also included (required for adjusting the spring seats) along with an adjusting knob for the damper settings.
The handling
For smooth surfaces the damper setting can be adjusted to near maximum. This will give street racers and track cars just what they need for ultimate cornering. Set the damper rate a little lower for day-to-day road use.
The spring rate is designed to give a firmer, sporty character whilst retaining the suppleness required for road use. The ride height is fully adjustable and can be set up to suit your taste & requirements. Reduced ride height will reduce body roll and allow faster cornering.
This kit will fit…
This Weitec kit is suitable for all Audi S4 models (saloon or estate). These were manufactured from 1995 and have a chassis code/body type known as 'B5'.
PLEASE NOTE
The rear dampers can only be adjusted off the car. Once fitted the interior trim does not allow easy access. The trim can be cut to allow access if desired.
Lowering a vehicle by 50mm or more may, under certain circumstances, cause tyre/arch clearance problems.
As with all suspension kits it may be necessary to fit spacers/shims behind the wheels for a little added clearance. This depends greatly on the wheel/tyre sizes being used.
Choosing the right option
You will need to establish the front axel weight of your car before selecting from the list below. This information can be found on a label inside the vehicles engine compartment or door shut. It may also appear in the vehicles documentation. If in doubt please call our sales team.
