What’s wrong with a standard filter? Standard air filters are usually made from paper which will eventually clog and deteriorate over time. Manufacturers like using paper filters because they are cheap. What’s so good about a K&N? K&N air filters are designed to achieve high, virtually unrestricted air flow whilst maintaining excellent filtration levels. The secret to their success lies in the unique high flow media, which consists of 4-6 sheets of oiled cotton gauze layered between aluminum mesh. How does this improve performance? Think about this - no motor sport vehicle ever used a standard type paper air filter - they use a performance filter of some description. A K&N air filter will allow dramatically more air into the engine than a factory standard air filter. More air provides more oxygen for combustion, which gives greater efficiency and more power. What about noise levels? Unlike an Induction kit a replacement panel filter has absolutely no affect on noise levels. What happens to my vehicle’s warranty? Nothing. Although a K&N filter is not a factory fitted item there is no reason why you can’t fit one in place of an original item. How can a K&N save me money? Because K&N filters are washable & reusable they will never need to be replaced. Cleaning is simple and can be carried out by the owner using a K&N cleaner kit How do I fit it? Generally speaking it is simply a case of opening the air-box and swapping over the filter element. It’s as simple as that.
