About these KitsThese kits include every rigid brake line required for this car. Every line is the correct length and has the correct fitting at each end – saving you hours of labour over constructing your own lines. A comprehensive set of plastic mounting clips is included too. Each line is manufactured from the best quality material; conforming to BS2871 and has been tested to 10,000 psi (double the pressure standards set by the SAE). Fitting Each line within the kit is numbered for easy identification. They simply need to be formed to shape and fitted – no cutting, no flaring and no deburring. Copper lines are malleable enough to be bent by hand whereas Copper-Nickle lines should be formed with a bending tool. In both cases a bending tool will give the neatest results. Choosing the correct material For a more authentic look plain Copper lines can be used – they replicate the original lines fitted by car manufacturers and are easier to bend to shape than Copper-Nickel lines. Copper-Nickle is a more modern material. It’s silver in appearance and offers far better resistance to corrosion than plain Copper. It is a harder material so cannot be easily bent to shape by hand, but that does mean it can be fitted with fewer clips. Copper-Nickle offers the best performance and is ideal for all applications where an OE ‘gold’ appearance is not required. NOTE: Only suitable for non ABS models (1991+).
