About ‘Greenstuff’ padsStandard road pads have a friction factor of about 0.3, whereas EBC Greenstuff has a factor of 0.46. They offer a noticeable improvement in brake performance over standard pads and are effective from cold, right up to a blistering 650 degrees centigrade. Many independent tests have shown EBC Greenstuff to be one of the grippiest compounds on the market today.
Recommended Usage
EBC recommend these pads for light to medium weight cars, up to around 150-200bhp. They’re ideal for fast road use, but unlike ‘Redstuff’ pads will require no warm-up.
Kinder to alloy wheels
Greenstuff pads cut down between 60-90% of the dust common with most performance pads. They are kinder to alloys and allow wheels to look cleaner & shinier for longer.
What’s included?
Pads are always supplied in front or rear sets. Each set includes four individual pads which are enough for a pair of brake calipers.
Fitment
The pads listed below will fit 1.2, 1.4, 1.6, 1.7TD, 2.0, 2.0 Turbo, 2.0TD and 2.2 models.
IMPORTANT NOTE
There are several different front pads listed below. Please measure the overall length of the pads originally fitted to your Astra before ordering.
Unusually for Vauxhall the larger front pads (178mm) fit to smaller engined Astra's, whilst the smaller front pads (156mm) fit to the larger engined Astras! As a general rule 178mm pads were fitted to all 1.4, 1.6, 1.7D and some 1.8 models. The 156mm pads were fitted to some 1.8 models and all 2.0, 2.0TD & 2.2 models.
For models with rear discs, choose the larger 105mm rear pads for all Astras manufactured before 2001 and 95mm rear pads for those manufactured after 2001. If in doubt it is always wise to measure the pad size originally fitted to your car.
