How does it work?An induction kit is no good without a good feed of cold air. The more air the better - the colder the better. Use a cold air feed to achieve this. One good idea is to have the inlet of the cold air feed facing forwards at the front of the car so that air is rammed in when the car is moving. Cold air from outside the engine compartment is better for combustion and therefore can produce more power. What’s included in the kit? Each kit includes two aluminium funnels, 1 meter of heat reflective alloy flexi ducting, two fixing clips and two cable ties. Which size kit should I get? Choose a 50mm or a 70mm bore size. The larger 70mm item will flow nearly twice as much air as the smaller 50mm item, but when space is tight a 50mm kit is ideal. What induction kits can this be used with? Some induction kits are supplied with their own cold air feed. Quite often K&N 57i kits have their own as do Viper kits with part numbers beginning VFC. In the case of the 57i kits the cold air feed will not have an aluminium funnel which is very important for creating smooth lamina air flow. What if it’s not long enough? The ducting in this kit is 1 meter long. Two or more kits can be joined together by simply pushing the hose ends together and screwing one into the other. It won’t be an air-tight joint, but then it doesn’t need to be.
