What is ‘HID’?
HID stands for High Intensity Discharge. Ordinary bulbs use a filament to create light whereas HID units use a stabilized arc which is generated with an ignition system and ballast. HID lamps consumes about half as much power (wattage) as a conventional bulb, yet produces up to 300% more light!

What’s different about HID Light?
This kit uses xenon filled HID bulbs which emit an intense beam of light up to 300% brighter than a standard halogen item. What’s more the light colour produced is similar to daylight - white with a hint of blue (unlike conventional bulbs which glow with a hint of yellow). This make for better visibility in all night time driving conditions.

Fitting an HID kit?
Fitting involves the replacement of bulbs and the mounting of ballast boxes within the engine compartment. Although fairly straight forward, we would recommend that fitting is carried out by a professional individual or competent DIY enthusiast. No specialist tools are required other than perhaps a crimping tool. Comprehensive fitting notes are included.

What’s included in this kit?
This HID kit includes two xenon filled HID bulbs, two ballast units, wiring, connectors and cable ties. All necessary parts are included.

How long will an HID system last?
The Ultra HID bulbs will last on average 10,000 hours whereas ordinary bulbs would normally last no longer than 500 hours. In reality the life span of Ultra HID bulbs are longer than that of the car. Therefore bulbs need only be replaced in exceptional cases.

Important note
This kit is both CE and E approved; however it cannot be approved for road use unless an automatic levelling and wash system is installed.

This kit has an H7 fitment. It is a direct replacement for the main/high beam bulbs fitted to the Mondeo Mk3 (2000+)

NOTE: These bulbs are not suitable for models fitted with HID headlamps..
